Waxed & Waned

She wept by the light of the moon
craving sincerety
She swept by the light of the moon
waiting for clarity
She danced by the light of the moon
reaching to invisible arms
She slept by the light of the moon
her dreams woven by Fate's yarns
She prayed by the light of the moon
wanting to believe
She sang by the light of the moon
needing some reprieve
She wailed by the light of the moon
lost within herself
She rocked by the light of the moon
nurturing herself
She swore by the light of the moon
never to allow such pain
to immobilize her actions
and fill her heart with such disdain
She bled by the light of the moon
sharing her body with the earth
She birthed by the light of the moon
and rediscovered her sacred worth.
