D'anjou Moon

One overcast night it is said that the moon
looked just like a great big juicy d'anjou.
Appearantly the fruit claimed a piece of her
soul, for to her the pear was so very sensual.
Some think her pearversion is pearculiar and
pearposterous but pearapsychologists believe it's
the coup de la resistance.
Like the tale of Pearsephone and her lover
Pearculease. The two were quite insepearable
until the peariless freeze. But such a love of
pear pearfection can triumph over fear as
Pearsephone trapsed through the underworld
to find the grim repear. She pleaded with pear-
sistence and finally did pearsuade the grim one
to reverse the hold the tragedy had made. It was
a pearadigm for humankind restoring pearadise,
and the pear became symbolic for the passion of
all wives.
And now in modern times pearhaps, a new
pearception lies, in belief that a pearticular
d'anjou appeared within the skies. So women
everywhere with dreamy passionate eyes may
wonder if that pear-shaped moon can hear their
gentle sighs.
