Blame it on the Moon

Oh, blame it on the moon,
for something must account
for all the lucid lunatics
milling all about.

Toss them in a bowl with grids—
they will think they are in cages.
Of course they will be fooled,
like all the rest—victims through the ages.

Feed them with drugs
till their dreams melt away.
And just to be certain,
blame the moon anyway.
