Connie Janney

Connie Janney, of Spokane, Washington, has worked with many mediums including oils, acrylics, watercolors, collage, clay, wax carvings for bronze sculptures and jewelry, large plaster sculptures, papier mâché, and gold and silver in jewelry making. Her current work evolved from her design drawings with markers, then cutting out and playing with tessellations as shapes. She is moved to find the spirit of an idea in her artwork rather than trying to recreate nature. She brings bright colors, joy and a folk art whimsy to her work. Connie is current president of Spokane's River Ridge Association of Fine Arts.

"I believe in infinite possibilities and think of my work as joyful, whimsical, and fun," she states,. "My hope is that others find joy and fun as well."
