Rhea Giffin

Curiously weaving hopeful possibilities, observations and quirky irony into story, Rhea Giffin brings her mixed-media papier mâché sculpture to an unexpectedly delightful art indulgence. From over-sized fantasy cats to surreal birds, rocks trees, sculpted words and wordplay, her work is a frolicsome and multi-layered look at nature--human and otherwise. All of her collected works are signed, numbered and imbued with gratitude.

Rhea has exhibited in galleries and juried shows across the country.
Her art has been featured in many international publications including the recently-released Lark Books:
"Chairs" and "500 Cabinets" as well as the 2008 "500 Chairs: Celebrating Traditional and Innovative Designs."
She is director and co-founder of Northwest Papier Mâché Artists' Guild.
